I send a message to one host family. I see them recent online. Whether they received my message or not? I haven't got a reply.

You can see from your sent messages if the receiver has read your message or not. When you open the message in your "my messages", you can see in the right upper corner the time and below that a sign. If the sign is grey, the message hasn't been read yet. If it's blue, the message is read. 

It might be that this family received a lot of messages and didn't have time to answer all of them yet.
